Payments handled. Now build. And now — a new chapter.
We're in. Tapaya has been selected as one of 15 companies to join the Mastercard Lighthouse FINITIV Spring 2026 programme, one of the leading startup partnership programmes in the Nordics and Baltics.
Out of the entire region, 15 companies made the cut across Denmark, Norway, and the Baltics. We're in the Baltic class, alongside Bakksy, CyberTested, enty, and Soverio. This programme focuses on fintech and fintech-enabler companies working across cybersecurity, embedded insurance, payment acceptance, and AI-based solutions.
What is Mastercard Lighthouse
Mastercard Lighthouse FINITIV brings together startups and early scaleups with partner banks - Swedbank, SEB, OP, DNB, Danske Bank, Resurs, SpareBank 1 Østlandet, and Nets/Nexi Group - alongside investors, corporate partners, and Mastercard itself. The goal is straightforward: build real partnerships and get to meaningful outcomes, not just intros.
This is the programme's 16th round. It has a track record of facilitating actual pilots and commercial collaborations between fintechs and major financial institutions across the region.
Why it matters for Tapaya
Tapaya is drop-in payment acceptance that turns any device into a payment terminal, built for developers who need to ship fast without becoming payments experts. We handle compliance, acquirer connections, and device compatibility so development teams can stay focused on what they're actually building.
Getting into FINITIV means we'll be working directly with some of the most important banks and financial players in the Nordics and Baltics. These are the institutions whose merchant and developer ecosystems need exactly what Tapaya offers. Over the coming months, we'll explore structured partnership opportunities and put Tapaya's integration story in front of the right people.
As Mats Taraldsson, Head of Fintech and Impact Tech Engagement at Mastercard Northern Europe put it:
"This year's selected startups clearly demonstrate the innovation power and creativity that define the Nordic and Baltic markets. Our focus is on facilitating meaningful partnerships and supporting these teams as they strive to achieve their missions and realize their visions."
